Riveting June: The Dahilayan Adventure Park Escapade

Posted Thursday, June 27, 2013 by deehan1914

I feel immensely happy because I am able to do what I love to do and the students are seeing and appreciating my abilities. I received the cash incentive and had a very good trip with co-teachers the next day. Yes, the bolstering excitement I was having last June 11 was supreme because I was also due to meet my University roommate in Dahilayan !

Here's a photo of Me + the GNA staffs. Taken near the pineapple plantation in Bukidnon.

We really stopped to have our photos taken with these towering landmark as our backdrop. I was actually feeling sleepy during that time! From here, it took us 30 minutes to reach Manolo Fortich.

Below is a phot with GNA staff madem Juna! Look at our backdrop! Rodeo!

I finally met my soul-sister!

Got our ticket for the Dropzone!

Getting ready...

Weeeeeeeeee!!!!

It was AH MEY ZEEEENNNG!!!!  Visited Forest Park too. This is next to Dahilayan. We paid 100 pesos per person.

Said Hi to this man!

tried to befriend this lady...

I hope I could build something like this in our backyard.

Love them all!

I'll come back and try this!

Looks like Tagatay!

Why are they taller than me?

Someone asked to kiss me...I said yes.yay!

And oh! look at this...She tried to smell my hair!

I think this is a slice of heaven!

We just wanted to make this as our backdrop.Haha

Let me rave now! Ayeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!! I consider recieveing flowers from him quaint!
This whole bunch of flowers already made my day!
I started my day by attending our choir practice and I was nearly late for work.
I was supposed to punch in by 7:45 and I was perfectly on time. Bless me!
I needed to walk on my way to work and it's always difficult to remain serene because I know time would always tick soooooooooo fast!
There's no jeepney route from Magallanes to Quirino! How sad is that?
To keep my optimistic mindset intact, I usually consider my everyday brisk walking a treat for my health. I've been trying to force-feed my mind that my everyday brisk walking for around 8-10 minutes will add more healthy years to my beautiful life. How's that? Hahaha!
While walking like I was being chased by a robber (hahah!), he called me and asked me where exactly I was. I had a hint of what he will do next. I knew he would surprise me but I wasn't sure what will it be. I told him I was still walking on my way to my office. He would usually ask where "exactly" I am and suddenly pop there! I sometimes consider that so "Harry Potterish" ( Yeah, I am talking about Apparition).
He bid goodbye and I continued to walk.
I wish I had my flying broom so I could easily reach the third floor of our building! Geeezz.. no elevator!
I was on cloudnine when the bundy clock was very friendly! (BIG GRIN)
My phone was ringing as I arrived to my desk and he asked me to go out for a while.
See? I was right. He's that magical. Hahah!
I went downstairs and met him on the seocnd floor.
And there he was... beaming with life! Chos! Hahahah!
He told me he was chasing me. He said I was REALLY walking very fast. He added that he kept on calling me (not though my phone, he said he was tailing me ) . Yes, I am sometimes deaf.
He gave these beautiful flowers and I love that it's not perfectly bloody red this time. Now, that's the surpise!
These orange roses are the prettiest!
This is the 4th one I got from him and I should really buy a vase now.
Yes, my working station is smelling good. Ayeeeeeeeeeee...I must call Mom soon!
Thank You!

Enshrining My Happiness :D

Happiness is when you decide to look beyond the imperfections of your life and celebrate the gifts from God. Thank you God for letting me enjoy my core gifts!

[16:18:15] YF:  Janie;
We would like to appreciate your kind messages. It’s not a compliment but our true impression that your lesson is the best of all that we took. We hope to take another lesson as soon as possible. Thanks. Masa &Yumi

------

That message was sent by students who are having lessons with me under shared course. The husband first took the lesson with me and he recommended me to his wife. I feel really really great that I am doing what I really want to do and oh.. it's indeed true that if you'll put your heart and strive for excellence in what you do, success will come knocking your door! I consider being truthfully thanked by my students as a success.

Anyway, our Manager shared a very interesting story before he finally posted the list of Top Performing Teachers and I really like the story! Here it is.

A little boy went into a drug store, reached for a soda carton and pulled it over to the telephone. He climbed onto the carton so that he could reach the buttons on the phone and proceeded to punch in seven digits (phone numbers).  The store-owner observed and listened to the conversation.

Boy: ‘Lady, Can you give me the job of cutting your lawn?
Woman: (at the other end of the phone line): ‘I already have someone to cut my lawn.’
Boy: ‘Lady, I will cut your lawn for half the price of the person who cuts your lawn now.’
Woman: I’m very satisfied with the person who is presently cutting my lawn.
Boy: (with more perseverance) : ‘Lady, I’ll even sweep your curb and your sidewalk, so on Sunday you will have the prettiest lawn in all of Palm beach , Florida.’
Woman: No, thank you.

With a smile on his face, the little boy replaced the receiver. The store-owner, who was listening to all this, walked over to the boy.

Store Owner: ‘Son… I like your attitude; I like that positive spirit and would like to offer you a job.’
Boy: ‘No thanks.’
Store Owner: But you were really pleading for one.
Boy: No Sir, I was just checking my performance at the Job I already have. I am the one who is working for that lady I was talking to!’

My Manager said that, just like the lady in this story, there are students who wouldn't trade a teacher for any other teachers out there. And he stressed that we should not forget " to be that boy"! I am still feeling very happy that I still managed to be listed as one of the best performing teachers for the Month of May. It's really very inspiring!

Yes, Sir! I'll strive everyday so that I can be that boy!

First Day in ENC!

First day today! Horray! I started it by having the correct set of thoughts. Positive thoughts and actions can turn the infinitely complex cogs of the biosphere more colorful! Right?

Burgeoning Excitement \(*o*)/

I am so excited and I can't deny it! (BIG GRIN)
We will visit Dahilayan Adventure Park this Wednesday with my co-teachers and I'll get to meet my soul-sister too! How's that huh?????? I am sooooooooo happy!!!! July 12 is a National Holiday here in the Philippines and that means happiness! I know I'll be severely tired but it's sooooooo okay! We will start traveling around 2 am (July 12) and maybe we will be back here in Davao around 12 midnight or 1 am (July 13). I'll just have a short rest and I must go to church around 4 am for our worship service. I won't miss this worship service! I'll thank God again for all the joy I am feeling now. Life is really beautiful even if sometimes we may think the contrary! Life is very very beautiful! I think we just need to change our perspective of the world and make our life more joyful. Counting our blessings is a sure good way to get started! It's our choice to jump into life's happier shade!

Oh! I am itching to try these Rolling Zorb Ball and Zip Line!

What could be more rewarding than being told that your students are missing you? Tell me!

I Sorely Miss Home!

Posted by deehan1914

How I wish I can apparate or try my floo powder here in the muggle's world. I sorely miss home!
I want to bask in the genteel embrace of my faithful family!
I want to cuddle my furry "Mighty". I miss my dog very much!
I don't understand my Father. He told me it was a gift for me but he wouldn't allow me to bring Mighty here in Davao.
My mother liked the dog very much too and I think my father is lost in between!
He knew my Mom started liking the dog too much and will be sad if I'll bring the dog here.
Hahaha Poor Father!
Anyway, I am happy that my Mama is happy!
Yes, even if that will mean I can't be with my baby Mighty.

I miss you baby Mighty!

Do I look like a teenager here? Oh well, I'm feeling that way! hahahah

I hope to go home this father's day! I miss my chubby Papa!
